Bead Cleaning:

The future of washing machines, a company called Xeros has made two different solutions to save water and also prevent pollution.

The first one uses beads to get your clothes clean now we have been hearing about this technology for a while in fact about five years ago and it has been in commercial use for a few years. Now, this is the first example of using it in a home setting. 

Xeros was looking to put this new technology in washing machines for a long time.

How it works

These Micro beads are called Sorbs. They move around inside of the laundry washing machine and take the place of the water that does a lot of mechanical action. But instead of just saving water up to 8 to 10 gallons these will also make your clothes brighter, cleaner, less wrinkled and it will keep colors from running on to each other.

Now in addition to saving water, they are also showing off a filtration system that solves a problem that we do not even know that it existed. Apparently, new synthetic clothes leave off these microfibers and they get into the water supply. They are really bad for sea life, they are bad for our oceans and they are also really bad for our septic system.

If you have one of these micro filters that spins around and catches all those fibers at the end of the wash. So they do not drain out into the water supply, they have to clean it periodically. Maybe in the next two or three years, every washing machine will be using beads for cleaning.

What is Ozone Laundry? 

Ozone is used to wash clothes more effectively and safely than soaps, detergents, or older ion wash units. This technology has been used throughout the US for years.

Ozone laundry units have been around for decades but were too large, expensive, or unreliable for domestic use. But now many companies within the European Union have now designed ozone laundry to work within any American home, with washers of any make and model.

Cold water is directed through this designed unit. An ozone generator converts O2 (regular oxygen) into O3 (ozone) which is mixed and circulates in water for your washer. The colder the water, the more effective it is.

Ozone works by breaking the molecular bonds that hold dirt and grime in your clothes while oxidizing most of this material into carbon dioxide and water. Any remaining ozone is later converted back to regular oxygen. All you have left are clean clothes and linen free of any odor, dirt, grime or chemicals. Simple to use and extremely effective. It does not require any maintenance, cleaning, or additives. These next-generation laundry systems will work with all washers including high-efficiency front and top loaders and all standard washers. Units operate with both hard and soft water.

How It Works

They can be installed by the homeowner in about 10 minutes. No special equipment is required. A quick-mounted template, handy screwdriver, and an extra laundry hose are included. A cold water hose is attached to the unit and the additional hose included is attached to the washer. The laundry system automatically senses when your washer calls for water and the unit only operates when water is being run through the system. Futuristic method of washing clothes:

A French industrial designer has designed a futuristic method for washing clothes.  Appliance cleans garments with no soap, no water, no noise, and a major bonus is that it is completed in a matter of minutes, called orbit, and the design consists of an outer ring comprised of large batteries that levitate an inner glass and metal sphere basket that holds the garments. It is called an Orbit Spherical washing machine. It is a futuristic technology.

How does this all work?

Liquid nitrogen is used to supercool the basket allowing it to become superconductive the batteries in the outer ring create a magnetic field allowing the basket to levitate inside the sphere. Dry ice is turned instantaneously from a solid form to a gas called carbon dioxide and is blasted at the close, known as cryogenic cleaning. The co2 breaks down dirt particles which are filtered out through a tube. The co2 is sucked back into the sphere and refrozen for future use completely off the grid.

Trends - Ultrasonic Dryers:

Many have experienced the pain of purchasing new clothes only to have them shrink in the dryer after a single wash. Now a new innovation claims to be cheaper, faster and more energy-efficient than traditional machines have scrapped the use of heat from its design.

Instead this ultrasonic dryer uses electronic devices that create high-pitched sounds so intense they shake wet clothes dry and in just 20 to 30 minutes, the ultrasonic concept  displaces the water with low energy, high frequency vibration.

Unlike the standard Machines

The Powered by piezoelectric transducers, which convert electric charges into energy, these new-age dryers create a sound so high-pitched that a dog is unable to hear it which in turn causes intense vibrations that shake the water from just washed clothes.

The water from the garments is then transformed into a mist and trapped in a little tank that can be drained at any time. This idea got inspiration from ultrasonic humidifiers that use similar high seat vibrations to turn water into steam. The existing dryer prototype uses a silver dollar sized transducer and is set to dry wet fabric in 20 seconds and neither the transducer nor fabric will become hot like in conventional dryers.

It is also three to five times more energy-efficient than those on the market and is able to dry a complete load in just twenty to thirty minutes compared to the 45 minutes to an hour with the standard dryers.  

Innovative Dryer by Kickstart:

Another innovation on Kickstarter has transformed the dryer into a small machine that uses heating ventilation to dry clothes in one minute where all water is evaporated through the holes in just one minute called dry go. This 400-gram device is covered with an A3 sheet of paper and plates designed with resistance heating elements. Users place their wet garments between the two plates and the heat causes the water to evaporate. There are small holes placed across the surface of the plate that allow the water vapor to rise and escape.
